No tom, Firewall-1 does not use ipchains/iptables. It uses its own
firewall implementation which runs the patented INSPECT Virtual
Machine. This inmerses into the operating system intercepting and
analyzing all communications. ipchains/iptables are opensource
firewall programs for linux specifically. Firewall-1 runs on many
platforms not just linux.

Hello all!  Does the Checkpoint software  on Linux use
ipchains/iptables or is it using something in the CheckPoint
software?
Make sense?
