I'd also be on the lookout for MTU issues. It's been awhile since I shoved Exchange traffic over a VPN but I seem to recall that it at least *used* to be particularly sensitive. -----Original Message----- From: Bandireddy, Madhu [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, May 24, 2002 6:16 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [FW-1] Accessing Microsft Exchange e-mail from remote location Naresh, This is based on my experience with FW1 4.1. The problem usually is with the way you have the name of the Exchange system entered in Outlook and how it is resolved. If you do not have a FQDN in Outlook for the Exchange system or if there NetBIOS name resolution problem caused by WINS you might have this problem. Try using an FQDN or put the Exchange system in your LMHOSTS file with preload option to troubleshoot the issue. Hope this helps. -----Original Message----- From: Verma, Naresh [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, May 24, 2002 8:21 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [FW-1] Accessing Microsft Exchange e-mail from remote location We recently installed checkpoint Firewall-1VPN 1 NG FP1 software.
