[FW-1] AW: [FW-1] SAP Services

Hi Rudolf,

Obviously somebody else (maybe your predecessor) has defined these services
twice as they are not pre-defined, neither with version 4.1 (or earlier) nor
with NG.
In principle, there are no differences between the user defined service with
the match pattern you've described and the "normal" tcp service. User
defined objects usually allows you to create you own INSPECT-style pattern
for your own "special" services or apps that are using ranges, uncommon
protocols, commands etc. In your case, two of that are redundant (best to
keep the tcp stuff.
By the way, SAP provides a way to chage these default ports, e.g. to support
different NAT rules for different SAP servers...

Betreff: [FW-1] SAP Services

Hi,

a CP-FW-1 Configuration shows me a lot of services for SAP.
For example: "SAPgui" . GUI-Communicating-Port over TCP PORT 3200 and 3201
(two ?)
Ergo: normal TCP Services with Port 3200 and 3201
Then, is there are two user defined services properties with following
information:
1.
Name ...
Match: tcp, dport=3200
2.
Name
match: tcp, scport=3200

Sorry, what's the Difference beetween both Services (user defined and normal
Services) ???
All this services are in one group ??

THE IANA Port Nummer
tick-port 3200/tcp Press-sense Tick Port
??????

Thank for for informations.

regards

Rudolf
