Quote, NT4 SERVER has enhanced features that make it a powerful network server operating system for server-based applications, such as SQL Server, Systems Management Server, SNA Server, and Exchange Server. In the supplied retail version, it supports up to 4 processors (CPU's) in a symmetric multiprocessing environment. All clients that access NT Server as a file and printer server, or through remote access, require a Client Access Licence. This does not apply to HTTP and other Internet connections. The only limit on the number of incoming concurrent sessions is the number of licences purchased. NT4 WORKSTATION is designed and tuned as a multitasking, desktop operating system, and has a fixed limit of 10 incoming concurrent sessions (this does not apply to HTTP and other Internet connections). -----Original Message----- Subject: Re: [FW-1] Installing FW-1 4.1 on Win NT Licensing. NT WS is not supposed to be used because its license does not allow multiple connections. Firewalling results in multiple connections as far as MS is concerned. You can do the install with a WS disk, you probably want to make sure you have a server license though. -Don > The only difference between WS and SRV is the ACL.
