Re: [FW-1] IPSO Info

Since 3.5FCS6 is so new, its hard to say exactly what issues there are with
it. We have been running 3.5FCS6 since its release and have had no major
problems with it. Heres the list of major fixes, but as always read the
release notes before using!

High CPU utilization by the SNMP daemon fixed
Gigabit Ethernet / multiple VLAN issue fixed
Gigabit Ethernet / IP740 issue involving traffic interruption fixed
Encryption Accelerator II card control from Voyager issue fixed
Voyager "Out of memory" condition when creating very large number of VRRP
interfaces fixed
Corruption of VLAN flags read from ifconfig fixed
Improvement to handling of VPN-1/FW-1 sync traffic improving HA connection
rate

Excellent call, but that is not an option. These machines are being
monitored with SNMP, so turning off SNMP would not fly.

Thanks for the response though,
Alex

The other fix is to disable SNMP - easily done from Voyager...

Subject: [FW-1] IPSO Info

I have a question related to what IPSO's are stable. We are currently
running IPSO3.4.1 FCS10. There is a known bug with the snmp daemon process
causing the system processes to run out of control and cause CPU utilization
to sky rocket. The only fix for this issue I have found is to upgrade to
IPSO3.5 FCS6. Has anyone used 3.5FCS6, and if so, what issues have you
experienced if any?

Thanks,
Alex
