I have to concur. This sounds more like a WINS issue than a VPN issue. However, one thing that can also screw up Network Neighborhood browsing is an MTU problem... Have seen that as well. It will use WINS, if it can, to locate a "Browse Master" from which to obtain the list, but the NN list is a separate entity. You don't say what the client OS is, but I've had much better success getting NN to populate on NT/2K clients than on 95/98 clients....
