The 100% value of a "df" command is not really 100% but more like 90%. This is just how it works in UNIX in general. If you truly hit 100%, your system would be in trouble. -Jason -----Original Message----- From: Mailing list for discussion of Firewall-1 [mailto:[email protected]]On Behalf Of Nils Kolstein Sent: Wednesday, May 08, 2002 7:01 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [FW-1] df -k gives value >100% ?? Hi, I have the following setup: 2 Nokia IP440's, loaded with IPSO 3.4.1. FCS-5 FW-1 4.1 SP5 (+hotfix) running VRRP. I noticed that on one box the /var directory was full. A df -k gave the following output.. # df -k Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Avail Capacity Mounted on /dev/wd0f06 238389 35% / /dev/wd0a 38193 50 35087 0% /config /dev/wd0d711 -375320 107% /var /dev/wd0e40 862082 15% /opt procfs 4 4 0 100% /proc As you might notice the capacity is 107 %. Is this a bug in the df module on IPSO or is it just the value generated by the used and negative availablity values?? I hope someone has experienced this before and mgith have a clue.. Off course I cleared up the /var partition and the system is running smoothly now (as it always does ;-)) ) Regards, Nils Kolstein Internetworking Engineer, CCSA Planet Technologies E-mail: [email protected] tel: (+31) (0)33-4513545 fax: (+31) (0)33-4513101 ================================================= To set vacation, Out Of Office, or away messages, send an email to [email protected] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [email protected] ================================================= ================================================= To set vacation, Out Of Office, or away messages, send an email to [email protected] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [email protected] =================================================
