It's in the SSH package. Make sure X11 forwarding is enabled in the config files. For the server it's usually "X11Forwarding yes" and the client it's "ForwardX11 yes". Then make sure X windows is running locally, ssh to the remote server, then if you type "echo $DISPLAY" you'll see the DISPLAY environment should already be set for you, then start an X application. No other ports should be needed since it's tunneled through SSH. Ron -----Original Message----- From: P. How should I go about doing it. I already have a rule base that allow SSH at port 24 to go thru. The SSH traffic works fine, however, the X Windows portion of it is not working. Is there something that needs to be set on the rule base to make this work or is it something that has to do with the SSH setup? The DMZ systems are Solaris8, the client is running Linux. Thanks for your input. ================================================= To set vacation, Out Of Office, or away messages, send an email to [email protected] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [email protected] ================================================= The contents of this e-mail are intended for the named addressee only.
