Re: [FW-1] VPN-1 Securemote client with Directway/Directv Satellite internet service

Hi Joe,

As far as I know (haven't played with DirectTv but many, many others) it has
been my experience that you cannot tunnel (VPN) through a tunnel. The
reason you cannot bind TcP/Ip is because it is already bound (VPN like)
tunnel already created by the Satellite signal. I will be watching out for
RE: on this one as I am still searching for VPN solutions for our remote
people.

internet service

Any place I can find a way to have these two co-exist? Anyone do this
successfully yet?

We tried installing with 4.1sp5 client on the remote end and the
directway navigator diagnostic tool gives a 'tcp/ip could not bind' or
some such error message. I have a 4.1 sp4 box here.

Alternatively, is there another vpn client that will work with the fw I
have here - maybe an XP built-in?

Thanks.
