You should follow the phoneboy advise.

fw_msg_q_max define the maximum message queue on the firewalled machine
and your log message shows that this is not enough, causing message lost.

fwhmem is used to define how much memory the firewall module can use.
If this memory is exhausted, no new connection can be built and
your user will complaint to you that they can't get through the firewall.
