Hi, that's exactly what I planned, too! What NIC do you use? Compaq? Are you running this on 4.1 or NG? And have you really tested what traffic it can handle? Using FW-1 on linux with stonebeat fullcluster for loadbalancing on 2 Compaq DL-360G machines with 1.4Ghz processor and 512 Mb internal mem. per machine: 1 Gb interface internal 1 Gb interface external 1 Gb interface DMZ with VLAN support to create several DMZ's This configuration also gives you the opportunity to take one FW offline to do some updates or system management. I need performance of at least 400Mb/s and possibly in excess of 1Gb/s. I know the Nokia IP 740 will do the job... at a price...
