i had this problem booting to the bios. All i did was unplug the
console cable when it rebooted and waited about 5 seconds until the box
booted. Then it was fine. Hyperterm was sending the spacebar key to
the console (or TAB) and it was booting to the bio everytime.

the console is working fine. One thing I have noticed is if I power
cycle
the nokia it sends a couple of AT commands through itc console port
before
booting. Can it think its connected to a modem ? If so anybody know how
to
change this.

you can jumper pins 2 and 3 on your console cable to "echo" keys on the
hyperterm screen to test if your connecting. Unplug cable from Nokia
and open hyperterminal session. Jumper pins 2 and 3 and then type. iF
your getting text on the screen, the hyperterm session should be fine,
well most of the time.

Hope this helps...

I had the same problem. It looks like windows 2000 and hyperterm. I
switch to
another term program (MINICOM LINUX) and the problem went away.
