The sync.conf file sits on the nokias with the ip address of the opposite interface that it will be communicating with. You shouldn't need sync.conf of the managment station. i.e. if nokia-a uses 192.168.0.1 for it's sync interface, and nokia-b uses 192.168.0.2. Then on nokia-a sync.conf will say 192.168.0.2 and sync.conf on nokia-b will read 192.168.0.1 hth rich -----Original Message----- From: Mailing list for discussion of Firewall-1 [mailto:[email protected]]On Behalf Of Aeon Hale Sent: 01 March 2002 12:55 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [FW-1] AW: [FW-1] VRRP on IPSO330 Quick Question for you guys, I read over this document on how to setup VRRP between two nokias; it doesn't look taht bad. But i was curious. The document has one nokia with the mgmnt station on one of the nokias. We will not be doing this. We will have a third server for a management station. Is there any real huge differences that I should take note of by doing this? Any files (sync.conf for example) that I must change on the management station? Thanks for the help... And another thing u have to take care of is the manual modification of the objects.c on the mgmt station, otherwise you *cannot* connect to the virtual IP of the cluster with SR. Have a look through the archives, it has been discussed here some times the last month, you should add something like :IPSecCluster(true) or so don't know the exact phrase right now... And another thing would be, check what is in the 330's. I bought a pair but in timely distance and the second one was stronger hardware than the first, thus u might want to make the stronger machine the master...
