I will also add a word of caution for the same reasons. I am only aware of port 8020 being used (as default) with Murmur server. This is the default port that the admin connection is made on. Murmur is a chat server. Non standard I have seen it used for Sybase. That said, I haven't heard of anything special about 8020. Since they've specified https, maybe they just want to use an unusual port number to keep its visibility low. -----Original Message----- From: Leuthardt, Eric [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, February 28, 2002 12:40 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [FW-1] Anybody know what port 8020 is used for I have a client that wants us to allow traffic to port 8020 for https.
