I guess there is no one at the remote site? ;-) assuming the computer has the same net/subnet range in its IP address, you could: 1. ping the broadcast address of the subnet 2. do an arp -a to show the IP and MAC of all hosts on the subnet. In your case you would see the one machine. That ought to work. hth Joe >>> Slim ZOUAOUI <[email protected]> 02/21/02 12:34PM >>> Dear all, I Have a Checkpoint FW1 4.1 on IPSO 3.3 installed in two different sites. VPN is configured between these two sites. I have a computer, that I don't know the IP, plugged straight to the distant Firewall with a cross-over cable. The interface used for this specific computer is UP. In the distant Site there is no one to check the IP of the computer. Does anyone knows how to retrieve a computer IP address plugged to a Firewall cp 4.1 Best Regards, Slim ================================================= To set vacation, Out Of Office, or away messages, send an email to [email protected] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [email protected] =================================================
