Re: [FW-1] FIREWALL scan IP

ssh to the remote FW and look at the arp cache (arp -a) or the routing table
(netstat -rn). If the machine hanging off of the FW has its interface up
you'll see it and be able to determine the IP address.

Subject: [FW-1] FIREWALL scan IP

Dear all,

I Have a Checkpoint FW1 4.1 on IPSO 3.3 installed in two different
sites. VPN is configured between these two sites.

I have a computer, that I don't know the IP, plugged straight to the
distant Firewall with a cross-over cable.
The interface used for this specific computer is UP.
In the distant Site there is no one to check the IP of the computer.

Does anyone knows how to retrieve a computer IP address plugged to a
Firewall cp 4.1

Best Regards,

Slim
