FW-1 is a serial program so Dual CPU is not going to help in a big way you assume. However since FW-1 run many processes like fwm, cpmad, snmp daemon etc. So overall your underlying OS can do some load balancing among CPU by distributing processes between CPUs, but at any given point of time one process will run on 1 CPU only. As far I know Checkpoint has no immediate plans to introduce parallel version in near future according to one of Checkpoint guys.
