The main problem there is that Nokias running VRRP don't provide a load-balanced solution; this is only a fail-over (HA) solution. Alteons are very expensive. They are very expensive and so is their support. To effectively load/HA balance two horizontal Firewalls you would need 4 Alteons. By almeans use them to Load balance web servers but as someone mentioned. VRRP (for example on the Nokias) is very effective for Firewalls. -Steve ================================================= To set vacation, Out Of Office, or away messages, send an email to [email protected] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [email protected] ================================================= ================================================= To set vacation, Out Of Office, or away messages, send an email to [email protected] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [email protected] =================================================
