Michael,

I don't have a lot of experience with Solaris, but might have seen something similar
to your situation on another OS.

When were you getting those error messages ? Wasn't it by change when pushing a policy
while having done a cd into one of those directories, just guessing. I say this because
I got the same kind of errors on a Windows Nt Firewall, pushing a policy while having an
Explorer Windows open in that directory.

Met vriendelijke groeten - Bien à vous - Kind regards

I'm no Unix guru so I apologize if this is a Unix thing.

When I try to push the policy it timesout and fails "resource temporarily
unavailable".

In the syslog on the Solaris firewall I get the following:

Does someone know how to fix this and why is it happening?

Thanks

You can try out yassp, titan to harden a solaris box. These are opensource.
You can also try the commercial one from sun and that is jass.
