Hi Dave, Check Point NG SmallOffice would support PPPoE, I thought? -----Original Message----- From: Mailing list for discussion of Firewall-1 [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of David A. Gianna Sent: 17/1/02 2:10 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [FW-1] Sofware (was: [FW-1] New Linksys VPN) What puzzles me about the S-box is this: it supports PPPoE. But CheckPoint does not. So, does the S-box have a different version (ie: Sofaware?) to support the PPPoE connection? Note, of course you can use CheckPoint with a PPPoE connection. You install a router that handles it, and set up your FW behind it. But what happens if you want a PPPoE-capable appliance that also runs CheckPoint? Phoneboy doesn't even touch this issue -- only using SecuRemote with PPPoE.
