Re: [FW-1] Redundant Link

Just a thought, if we are letting LInkProof to do the NAT, will that
affect SeruRemote tunnel and VPN tunnels? unless we are uing Static NAT on
the firewall external private IP. AM I right?

There are products like LinkProof by Radware and like the FatPipe products
that will help you do this. They provide load balancing as well as
redundancy. Your existing internet and the backup internet router would
connect to the 'front' end of the LinkProof. The Lan side of the
LinkProof would be a private ip subnet. The external interface of your
firewall would be on this private ip subnet, which would result in your
having to relicense it. This setup will require some changes in your NAT
setup. All NATting would move from the firewall to the LinkProof.

You can get more info on this type of configuration at www.radware.com

One of the Smaller sites we have is getting internet access from the local
cable company. What would you do for redundancy?

If that high speed cable line goes down what could you use as a second
option? I thought of an ADSL line from the local phone company but the IP
would be different so the license wont work.

Can you run Firewall-1 4.1 SP5 through a Modem and still have your VPN
connected?

Any information or ideas would be appreciated.
