Re: [FW-1] SecureClient and wireless interfaces.

I have gotten it running on several Windows 2000 Professional clients with
Orinoco (Lucent) and 3Com wireless cards over a DSL line through a NAT'd
Netgear access router without difficulty. Worked first try.

I tired doing this with a d-link 650 card and almost always got a blue
screen as soon as securemote loaded. occasionally, I could get it to work
but very seldom. My solution (work around) was to load securemote on the
desktop that the laptop connected to and only install securemote on the
ethernet adapter going to the cable modem.

Subject: [FW-1] SecureClient and wireless interfaces.

Hello.

I have a remote user (who unfortunately is far enough
away that I can't go there myself and troubleshoot)
who uses a cable modem to access the internet. He
also has a wireless network that, according to him,
also leads to the cable modem.

Typically, he uses SecureClient with his laptop
plugged into a docking station, and the docking
station plugged into a hub or something that goes to
the cable modem. SecureClient works fine this way.
What he wants to do, however, is associate
SecureClient with his wireless interface so that he
can take the laptop anywhere in the house and still
use the VPN.

This doesn't seem to be working with the default
install. Is there anything special that needs to be
done?

All help is appreciated.
