        If you install SR, then uninstall, then try to re-install on
        XP you get this message:

        Checkpoint is is installed on this computer. Please uninstall
        it before installing.

        Removing the following registry key solves this problem:
        HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\FW1

        Worked for me.
