[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [FW-1] Enabling the HTTP Proxy!
Hi, We are in the process of installing Websense off of an interface on the firewall but I thought before installing Websense, I should test the performance of turning on the HTTP Proxy on its own. So I created a URI resource where I turned on "transparent" and "proxy", matched wildcard and selected everything under the "Match" tab. I just left everything under the "Action" tab empty so no replacement URI was selected. In the rules, I simply replaced the http rule with http->http_proxy (http with resource)... and it worked... but only for a few hours on a very light traffic load. The in.ahttpd daemon was alive but all http connections started to be rejected by my last rule (any-> any-> drop) with the info "reason Content Security - access denied. resource http://whatever)" I'm at a loss to explain why it stopped workeing after a few hours... I am running FW-1 4.1 SP5 on a single processor Nokia box with 256MB RAM. Has anyone tried this before? What am I doing wrong? Any info would be appreciated!
