I read this resolution a couple of weeks ago, but haven't yet got round to implementing it. It sounds like I have a similar setup to you. managing multiple Nokia appliances from a Windows management station. I was hoping that this solution would allow me to send my firewall logs to a syslog server as I find a grep on the logs much more useful than the checkpoint log viewer. Indeed, I have been disappointed by the lack of direct syslog support in FW-1, as it would help tie up logs from various different services into one common point, thus making it easier to tie up and trace transactions.
