[FW-1] International installations and support

I need to deploy some firewalls in developing countries and would like to
hear how others are providing hardware support.

I use Nokia's at several US locations and am very happy with them but it
appears they do not offer on-site support in some of the International
locations I need to support.

I'm looking for ideas about what hardware to use and how to handle system
failures.  Fed-ex is not always an option in that delivery can take days to
weeks due to customs.

I prefer to find something where a local vendor can replace the hardware,
configure an IP and then I can do the rest from the US over the Internet.

Ideas and experiences welcome.
