I have seen cases whereby not installing the SP's unleashes a few problems. Checkpoint recently told us to install in sequence and not jump SP's to resolve a problem we had. In technical terms, I believe that certain mod's to base.def etc. only get made on a per SP basis, SP5 for example may not contain all the file mod's that come in the previous packs. I say 'may not' because no-one outside CP really knows in detail. -----Original Message----- From: Vincent Roy [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, November 22, 2001 1:43 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [FW-1] no, Guy ROELANDTS was right : you don't have to install SP3 or SP4 before !!! -----Message d'origine----- De : GNOME [mailto:[email protected]] Envoyé : mercredi 21 novembre 2001 14:33 À : [email protected] Objet : Re: [FW-1] yes --- "Louis, Darrel" <[email protected]> wrote: > Dear Members, > > I'm currently running Checkpoint Firewall 4.1 SP2 on > Windows NT, with a > Management and a member server . > Do I need to install SP3 and SP4 first, before > installing SP5? > > > Regards > > Darrel Louis > __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
