If you have have CheckPoint 4.1 and hgher, issue the FW PRINTLIC command -- the CK-x-yyyy-zzzz is the Cert Key(s) for your license(s). Take that to the CheckPoint User Center, and get a copy of your current license(s), load onto the new HW when ready. Is there any way to get the current license off fw 1 software so that it can be transferred to updated hardware? Thanks in advance. Sam Denton (CCSE)Title: Is there any way to get the current license? Yes,
If it is a *nix based Firewall (Solaris - IPSO - Linux
...) you have a file that contains the license,
it's called $FWDIR/cp.license
If it a Windoze based Firewall then the license is in the
registry key :
HKLM\Software\CheckPoint\License
But if you have the Certification Key you can always go back to the
licensing center and get a copy
of
your original license (access this via the UserCenter)
