This is absolutely NOT correct. You will need to generate a new license if you originally licensed your CP product to an IP address as opposed to a hostid, that much is true. I'm pretty sure you figured that out or you would be asking the list why your FW module doesn't work at all as opposed to why it isn't logging. If you can push policy to your FW module and load policy at start-up, your putkeys work. If you just readdressed the FW module, your EMC _should_ still be listed correctly in $FWDIR/conf/masters so I'm going to assume that you are able to push policy to FW but can't load from the EMC. This would also explain why you can log to the EMC. There is a CP KB article (as well as a phoneboy.com article) on how to flush old putkeys and properly redo them. Look it up and give it a try. You do not need to reinstall the FW packages. I think you need to reinstall the firewall software, and get a new license key. -----Original Message----- From: Marcelo Martinho [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, November 20, 2001 3:54 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [FW-1] Log problem. Hello alll, I have one site (site A) with a Firewall-1 module version 4.1 instaled and this module is doing log on another machine at another site (site B) that has the management module and another firewall module. Last month i had to change my valid ip addresses at site A and the firewall at this site stoped to log into site B. I perform "fw putkey" after change the ip. Any suggestion?? Thanks in advance, Marcelo. =============================================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html =============================================== =============================================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ===============================================
