Does anyone have experience on how to make FW recognize its the /dev/fw0
device ?For some reason, one of our CP 4.1 sp4 firewall can't be loaded after
we manually changed the interface name on Management stations instead of snmp
get in the policy GUI. The error messages seems related to the
/etc/rc2.d/S00fw1bootd script when we rebootd.
Here is the error messages.
FW_BOOT_DIR undefined. Using /etc/fw.boot
FW-1:
Restarting bootd: fwbootd: open: No such file or directory
FW-1:

ap -a drv minor last-minor

add:
last-minor = 0 means one and not range
minor = -1 means all
ap -r drv minor

range (0 for all)
ap -g drv minor [
place mod [mod ...]]
get:

Other options:
ap -e drv mod

I did try to apply the
solution posted on phoneboy.com, but it doesn't help us : while we executed
the "/usr/sbin/add_drv fw" command, we got the error message :
Thanks all.
