Re: [FW-1] Ldap with W2K

Joe,

I have NG configured to support LDAP logins from Secure Client VPN
clients and client authentication on the LAN.

The Check Point Knowledge Base says that W2K LDAP is not supported in
v4.1. I tried to get W2K LDAP working with v4.1 and it looked like it
might work. I decided to wait for NG since CP said it wasn't officially
supported.

I was told that NG might support LDAP logins, but have seen no evidence
to support this. The engineers at Checkpoint have said that they are not
supporting and don't plan to support LDAP logins (via VPN) on 4.1 SP5.

Does NG authenticate LDAP logins?

It is possible to use 4.1 with AD on W2K. Just don't try to run VPN! It
does not authenticate LDAP logins.
