Scott, How are you trying to run the x-server - is it a vnc x-server? If so then you shouldn't have any problems over SR as long as you are allowing the vnc ports over the SR connection. The solution is to run an ssh session to the server and let the x windows session go through the ssh tunnel. This usually works automagically when you're using ssh.
