Re: [FW-1] OWA BEHIND FIREWALL

Check Point do not support WebDav and User Authentication, as this invokes the security server / proxy component of Check Point that doesn't understand WebDav and drops it into a big black hole somewhere !
You'll find the configuration will work without using user authentication, but you maybe should look at something like https implementation as an alternative security measure to authentication, or mandate that clients do not use IE 5.0 !
Terminal server would also be a nice way out - may take a bit longer to implement, but at least then your clients get the rich feature set of OWA 2000 and get user authentication to work with it too !

Subject: [FW-1] OWA BEHIND FIREWALL

We have a Exchange 2000 Server with a internal ip. We want the user can read the messages through OWA. To do this, we want to use the firewall like a web server pages with the "no transparent" option.

the firewall will authenticate the users. The authentication is vpn-1/FW1 and we have put it tn the workstation properties.

we have the following rule

httpCorreo@any --------- Exchange ------------- http ------------ User Auth

We have  like security server,  the exchange 2000 server with the internal ip.

When we write the url  http://ip_fw1/exchange/ , the authentication windows apear. We enter the user and the password like

user_exchange@user_firewall,   password_exchange@password_fw1. We see the page good, without errors,

but THE PROBLEM: WE DON'T SEE THE MESSAGES AND THE FOLDERS.

THANK YOU

Mayalen Roque
