If you use a limited license and implicitly specify an Internet facing interface as one of your internals, then your license count will fill up with Internet addresses. Eek. It won't stop your fw from working, but will fill up your log files with rubbish and violate the licensing agreement. -----Original Message----- From: Mailing list for discussion of Firewall-1 [mailto:[email protected]]On Behalf Of Francois Dessart Sent: 18 October 2001 09:19 To: [email protected] Subject: [FW-1] External and internal interfaces identification Hello, I (will) have a firewall with multiple internal and external interfaces. How does FW-1 know which ones are internals and other externals? I think it's important for it not to count hosts on external interfaces. Thanks for your help.
