Re: [FW-1] Firewall Errors



I had the same problem, W2K SP2, Check Point SP5, suddenly lose all connectivity.

One thing I did do was turn off SynDefender completely. I haven't had the problem in a while, but I am not completely sure that is the solution. The one time I did have it, I unplugged one of the Cat5 cables from the back of FW. FW-1 gets really gets flaky if you unplug your Ethernet while it is running for any reason. In the same vein, check for duplexing and speed to make sure it matches with the hub or switch you are connecting to.

To everyone having the same issue: Are you running SynDefender? Is that the common link?
