Make sure you get a line with a fixed IP if you want to run a VPN over it. All ADSL circuits in the UK are provided by BT, but they can supply "through" another provider, and as BT do not themselves provide a fixed IP service, I would recommend that you use another provider who will provide fixed IP (we use demon, although I believe others will provide fixed IP). Hope I've made this as clear as possible, given the ludicrous state of UK telecoms!
