Thanks for your reply. But I am not allowing this port (1863) from any rule base. What happened is It was blocked for one day and after than I found the MSN is working again. And also I blocked the ip address 207.46.183.253. After I blocked the IP 207.46.183.253 msn is not working directly. I have a proxy server installed on my network. Users have to use proxy from Internet explorer and from msn messenger (connection tab ) the proxy should be disabled. If they did this again messenger will start to work. Even I am not allowing the proxy to go though MSN. But blocking that port will not work. I mean that U will haveto check the rulebase order. If u have mentioned anything any wherethat allows this specific port then U may not be able to block the port. Checkout if U are using this port on any of your server and U have allowed the port.
