Greetings fellow FW experts I have a HP Omnibook 6000 laptop with built in 3Com 56k modem and 3Com 10/100 PCI Ethernet adapter. OS Windows 2000 professional. Error generated on boot up "secure remote will not bind with the dialup adapter." Successive reinstallations has proven futile. When 3Com network PCI Ethernet adapter is enabled in hardware profile error disappears but secure remote does not pop up for user authentication when attempting to connect through firewall. Has anyone experience such a problem, a similar problem or experience problems with this specific HP model series.
