What Andreus is asking about is the recommended configuration (strip message/partial mime type) for the SMTP resource that CVP's mail to Trend for inspection. FW1 has this nasty habit of stripping mime attachments before it sends them to Trend, usually becasue of foreign character set issues and I'm not sure what else. The problem was reduced greatly with SP4 (at least for me) but on occasion I still get mail that gets stripped improperly by FW1. I was hoping SP5 would fix it completely, unfortunately the release notes don't mention the problem at all so I'm not too hopeful. I'm not quite sure what you're trying to accomplish here. If you're trying to strip out attachments with certain extensions, then use Interscan eManager to do that. -- Joe ============================================================================ ==== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ============================================================================ ==== ================================================================================ To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================================================
