I have the same setup here.  You get some benefits of using multiple CPU's if you
use the security servers.  However since Checkpoint is still 32bit and it's fw engine
still doesn't appear to be multi-threaded you won't get any benefits for speed.  (your
IP information will flow through a single processor).
 
If you are looking for speed, get the 480Mhz processors instead of the 400mhz ones.
 
Or, if you have the option use a newer system with the Ultrasparc III procs.  Though
I would expect the reason you picked the 450 was due to it's 10 PCI slots.

We have a Sun E450 and we would like to know if we can run Operating System on one CPU and Checkpoint on the other CPU.
The Firewall is 4.1,,, SP4 , any good comments would be greatly appreciated.
