[FW1] Securemote and ZoneAlarm

I've been playing with Zonealarm 2.6.88 (free version not Pro) and
Securemote 4.1 SP3 (Hybrid/IKE 3DES), on Windoze 95 and noticed a couple of
issues:

1. With Zonealarm set to load on startup Securemote dies with a very
uninformative "VPN1 Error" whenever the PC is booted. I mean this little
windows dialog box pops up and that's all it says. I solved by changing the
names of the FWENC.EXE and SRWATCH.EXE executables in the windows RUN
portion of the registry. Effectively keeping Securemote from loading when
Windows starts up. I imagine this will break Secure Domain Logon, but I'm
not needing that at the moment. Has anyone else figured another workaround?

2. I had to reduce the Internet Security settings in zonealam from "High"
to "Medium". At the high setting attempts to connect to my encryption
domain would never initiate an authentication (you know the SR enter your
name and password dialogs). I've tried defining my gateways to my "Local"
zone but it didn't seem to help. The medium setting basically disables port
stealthing on the PC. In other words, ports now appear as "closed" when
doing a "Shields Up" scan. No big deal but stealthly would be better.
Again, anyone got a better solution.
