Install a Linux Machine (i am using Mandrake 8.0) and download Nessus from http://www.nessus.org . You will find out that even free software can beat the ass out of MAJOR software houses. Best of all... IT IS FREEWARE (GNU) and you can install your own exploits or update it's database. I am using it on regular basis (that is everyday...)... ;-). You can also take a look at http://www.vulnerabilities.org where you can scan against your machines and have a look at Nessus in action.
