Andy, I think you might be able to get various performance measurements for what they are worth, however SW companies, I believe even bound by law, will not to state preference between two supported platforms. That said they could have features that are only supported on some for architecture and implementation reasons. The decision rests into your own research, and your management team's assessment. Things you might want to consider are SLA, Support Model/Structure, on-site expertise, cost analysis etc. I'd rather not impose my preference, but let me know how things go. Cheers.
