Chris, You can control both 4.0 and 4.1 firewall modules from a 4.1 management station, but can only have one 4.0 license installed on a 4.0 firewall. The management station does however not care about the licenses installed on each firewall module. In order to be able to do this the management station must have been installed with backward compability. I am taking over control of several more firewalls that are running v4.0. Can I install licenses from two different versions of Firewall-1 on the same machine in order to manage them all from the same place? Extra info: Upgrading is not an option at this time Also, if anyone has any suggestions that might make this smoother, I am open to all. I am concerned about the whether the new license for 4.0 will even be seen by the appropriate processes. Thanks in advance, Chris Koger ============================================================================ ==== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ============================================================================ ==== ================================================================================ To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================================================
