Anyway, in your explanation you already mentioned that Hide Mode does not differ from Static Source mode (forgive me for not using the correct terms from the book in my earlier post). You also said "However when you use automatic static NAT, you don't need to put that route in." I assume you meant Static Source mode. I said "It doesn't matter if you configure an object with Static or Hide NAT.", referring to Static Source mode. So I guess we're in agreement and are probably talking about the same thing just from a different perspective. Let's kill this thread or take it offline.
