Your default policy when the firewall is brought up is probably blocking the DHCP answer from the cable modem. You may have to "fw unload localhost", create a policy that allows the traffic, and push the policy to the firewall. Then you may be able to get a DHCP address. Problem is that when Firewall is installed (with one Network Interface configured as dhcp), doing an ipconfig gives nothing. (normally via ipconfig command one gets a listing of the IP addresses for the interfaces. But after firewall is installed all the ip configuration is lost. Uninstalling firewall, all is fine again. what is the problem. Firewall-1 version 4.0 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get personalized email addresses from Yahoo!
