Yes you can run FW1 on Professional, however you will violate the M$ license for number of connections, etc... In reality Check Point recommends to run it on Server claiming that it'll be faster. To the best of my knowledge that's absolutely not true. Another point - there's a warning that Check Point will discontinue support for FW1 on Pro.
