Firewall-1 is only concerned with processing IP traffic. IPX will route across your gateway if the gateway is correctly configured to do so. Basically if you removed firewall-1 and can get IPX to work in the manner you wish, re-introducing FW1 would have no bearing on the IPX routing. The only time that this would not be true is if the IPX is not native, and is encapsulated in IP (such as across GRE tunnels) "Brian Tan Wee Beng" <[email protected]>@lists.us.checkpoint.com on 14/06/2001 10:36:02 Sent by: [email protected] To: [email protected] cc: Subject: [FW1] IPX across Checkpoint Hi..... My consultant ask me this question: whether it's possible to permit IPX traffic across CP.I believe it's not possible but is it true??Secondly,if CP is running on a NT box and i enable Gateway service in it,will it permit/drop IPX traffic passing through it??
