[FW1] eSafe Protect Gateway v3.0 Build 60 using CVP locking up

Hi,

We have recently moved from ESPG v2.1 to v3.0 as a consequence of advice
received from Aladdin. (We were regularly finding that ESPG was unable to
accept connections from the Firewall.)

With v3.0 (current build) everything works well for a period but locks up at
random intervals. Stopping and starting the CR service fixes the problem.
The lock appears to happen with an HTTP request in progress and is
accompanied by 0% processor utilisation (i.e. it is not busy scanning a
file). The following log entries appear on the ESPG machine:

INT_ERR: Protocol 2 not supported, (0 supported): LOC: ::ScanFileRequest
INT_ERR: Protocol 2 not supported, (0 supported): LOC: ::ScanChunkRequest

both of which are seen repeatedly, the following occurred in esafepca.log at
the time of the last lock-up:

ACCESS_VIOLATION. LOC: CChunkQueue::Pop
ACCESS_VIOLATION. LOC: CCVPSession::CtsHandler()

INT_ERR_TOUT: Reach timeout while waiting for mutex. LE:0. LOC:
CChunkQueue::InsertChunk

The Firewall machine is a SPARC running Solaris 2.6 with FW-1 4.0 latest SP.
The ESPG machine is running NT 4 SP6a on a dual PIII 700MHz machine with
512MB memory.

Any suggestions for ways forward would be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance,

Adrian Wilson
