RE: [FW1] Changing TCP Session Timeouts
Title: RE: [FW1] Changing TCP Session Timeouts
I am getting screamed at by one of our smaller divisions in relation to this telnet application they use and their respective time out issues. It is very tough to make them understand that if we change the timeouts for one enforcement point on this management console that it has to change for ALL of them!
What does everyone recommend this be set at? (For a corporate setting as well as for a high-availability web serving data center.)
Thanks.
Jarrett

Subject: [FW1] Changing TCP Session Timeouts
Hello,
I'm looking for comments on the performance effects and security concerns of increasing the TCP Session Timeout in the Policy Properties. I have one group of user's that want the value increased so that they won't have to log back into their application after lengthy periods of inactivity e.g. lunch breaks or extended meetings.
Thanks in advance,
Ken
